The people behind Galati 2020
Elena Nastase, Project Manager

The organizations behind Galati 2020
As an independent successor organization of Swisscontact Germany gGmbH and former subsidiary of Zurich-based Swisscontact Foundation, we empower our local partners in developing and emerging countries to help themselves.
For this purpose we develop and implement projects that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable as well as locally-owned from the very beginning. Wherever they are taking place, the activities of Fairventures Worldwide follow our mission statement:
- The Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg and
- The Romanian OrthodoxEpiscopate ofNorthern Europe.
Currently the Metropoly comprises 123 parishes, offices and monasteries, of which 76 belong to the Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg and 37 to the Episcopate of Northern Europe.
The Archdiocese of the Lower Danube is located in Galati, it has its jurisdiction in the counties Galati and Braila and is run by IPS Dr. Casian Craciun. The Archdiocese is organized in 491 Parishes and more than 10 chapels.
The mission of the archdiocses is to help elderly people or people in risk of poverty, illness and allow them to have a better life.
