The organizations behind Galati 2020
Fairventures Worldwide FVW gGmbH is a non-profit project and consulting organization in the field of international cooperation for development. We are based in Stuttgart, Germany.

As an independent successor organization of Swisscontact Germany gGmbH and former subsidiary of Zurich-based Swisscontact Foundation, we empower our local partners in developing and emerging countries to help themselves.

For this purpose we develop and implement projects that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable as well as locally-owned from the very beginning. Wherever they are taking place, the activities of Fairventures Worldwide follow our mission statement:

Intergenerational Equity

The Metropoly of Germany, Central and Northern Europe represents the Romanian Orthodox believers in Central and Northern Europe. It preserves the apostolic faith and the Orthodox dogmas, which are the statements of faith of the Romanian Orthodox Church and is made up of two independent administrative units:

  • The Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg and
  • The Romanian OrthodoxEpiscopate ofNorthern Europe.

Currently the Metropoly comprises 123 parishes, offices and monasteries, of which 76 belong to the Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg and 37 to the Episcopate of Northern Europe.

The Archdiocese of the Lower Danube belongs to the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchy. The bishoprics and the parishes form metropolies in Romania and abroad.

The Archdiocese of the Lower Danube is located in Galati, it has its jurisdiction in the counties Galati and Braila and is run by IPS Dr. Casian Craciun. The Archdiocese is organized in 491 Parishes and more than 10 chapels.

The mission of the archdiocses is to help elderly people or people in risk of poverty, illness and allow them to have a better life.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Baden-Württemberg is one of eleven ministries in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is responsible for determining scholastic standards, day care centres, cultural matters, the advanced education of grown-ups and for mass as well as competitive sports in Baden-Württemberg.
